Delivering Clean Room Quality Air to Those Who Need It Most

Wakefield, Mass. – April 6, 2020 – Celios Corporation, a consumer health company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of advanced air technologies, is pleased to announce that it has moved beyond R&D into a commercial phase. Under new CEO Brian Packard, the company has bolstered its world-class, mission-driven leadership team, relocated Celios headquarters to Wakefield, MA, and advanced the company’s proprietary air purification technology platform into a first product. Celios is now preparing to launch its G200 Advanced Air Purifier into the consumer air purification market.

Founded in 2017, Celios has been pioneering a next-generation portable air filtration technology capable of capturing up to 99.99999% of airborne particles, with the ability to filter down to 10 nanometers in size. The company has been working tirelessly to refine, test and scale the technology, and now aims to disrupt the home air purifier market with its unmatched performance. The goal: bringing pure, safe air to those most susceptible to poor air quality.

“It is rare to discover a breakthrough technology with the ability to fully transform an established market, and rarer still to successfully nurture it to the point of commercial viability, but Celios has done just that,” said Packard. “Before joining the company, I did not fully appreciate the public health need for dramatically cleaner air where we live, work and play. Now more than ever, we’re all seeking the purest air.”

Prior to joining Celios, Packard held C-suite and general manager roles commercializing numerous award-winning ‘world’s first’ products including: Braun ThermoScan Professional Ear Thermometer, Philips HeartStart Home Defibrillator, and RESPeRATE Hypertension Treatment Device. At Celios, he recruited experienced finance, operations and strategy executive, Rob Stone, as Chief Financial Officer. Rob had most recently served as the CFO at gut microbiome testing company, Ixcela, with prior senior management roles at Hewlett-Packard and PAREXEL.

Rob joins a talented team including Ryan Sweeney, a veteran Chief Manufacturing officer with deep expertise in domestic and international product development and supply chain management and Dr. Iyam Lynch, Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Lynch is a physicist with expertise in nanotribological interactions in fine particulate systems. With numerous patents in efficient particulate filtration systems, Iyam’s inventions power Celios’ technology.

Dr. Lynch commented, “Our mission at Celios has been to create high quality, premium-performing products that are widely accessible, striking the optimum balance between manufacturability, commercial viability, and scientific rigor.  We will push the industry forward with quality products that actually perform as advertised, ultimately improving the quality of people’s lives.”

The company’s new headquarters in Wakefield, MA will also serve as its Customer Care Center, while its Research and Development Lab will remain in Winston-Salem, NC.
